True, they are the only two the award can go to but if Beyoncé is nominated in this category along side another Urban/R&B or hip hop act she won't win because they will end up with a spilt vote. I didn't even hate 1989, but the albums it was nominated against deserved it SOOOOOOOO much more. Plus that night Taylor have a decent performance, where the rest of the nominees (Kendrick Especially) gave performances of their careers. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill. It's a solid album, but not really close to the level of some of her peers that night. Really annoyed me that it won (I was personally pulling for Alabama Shakes...that album is a masterpiece), but I guess I also find it a lot more legitimate than her previous Album of the Year win...
