Not trying to "drag" you, but I don't think she's doing that to sound more intelligent. She does that so that the translator and/or audience members who can understand some English can understand her. Her intent is to make sure she communicates clearly. Annoying opinionated fans is the least of her concerns.

I don't believe she does it for that reason, translators are very skilled and do not need fake accents to translate properly. I don't she does it unintentually in the beginning, I think she gets thicker as she speaks because she thinks it's more relatable to the country she's in, which actually sounds very strange.

times like these, I actually pity myself following the career of someone so... dull. she's still pure gold and I literally need her to be visible in this world but... damn.

this isn't about what she's saying here, it's about what she thinks she's doing...

I think that people in 2016 tend to make the assumption everyone's as superficial and easily led as they might seem (for falsely presenting themselves under the pressure of these odd times) so one might decide that as the "superior" intellect you can manipulate others with even the lamest most unconvincing acting and bland statements.

most of you are "so happy for her" for being sober and more in the moment and down to earth and wiser and centered but boy, she's never been more out of touch and it ****ing pains me.

I still think Joanne is her best work to date and I believe she's too smart to not truly wake up (think Inception) from the perfect illusion her extraordinary life has created so please take a deep breath in case you felt tempted to make me defend my opinion.:madge:

But wouldn't that mean that the theory that Clinton is using Trump as a puppet opponent is right?? :oprah:

I think I'm going to get dragged for this but the 'accent' she puts on to sound more intelligent or whatever she is aiming for by over-pronouncing words makes me cringe

I don't think she's putting on an accent - I think she's just speaking at a slower manner because she's talking to people who have a little understanding of English. I think she's just trying to enunciate more?

Can she plz go into policy details next time she endorses Hillary? This annoyed me more during the primary but it still annoys me. She never points to the policy Reasons she's voting for Hillary. What makes her better then a Trump? I know why I think she's better but I'd like to hear why Gaga thinks so more in depth. Just like I wanted to know why Gaga was voting for Hill over Bernie. I think it's great that Gagas into politics but I worry that her way if talking about politics, with so few policy discussion, could make young people get a very superficial idea of politics.

It's literally bc she's a democratic female. Literally the only reason why, I PROMISE you.

So so so true! I also hate when she tries to be relatable. It's such an annoying quality.

I hope Gaga doesn't look at politics from such a superficial standard but I can't criticize you for your comment because the superficial way she's talked about politics would lead you to believe that.

What are you saying, that she is out of touch and dull for thinking she can influence people? I don't think its fair for you to say that.  She doesn't get the opportunity to really delve into the reasoning behind her political opinions but im sure a lot of fans view her as an opinion leader. At the very least, I could see her statements being used as catalysts to influence her fans to do more research on the election and both candidate's positions.

She does have the opportunity, she could easily write up a facebook post or some **** and say the policy reasons she prefers Hillary. I would've to know why she chose her over Sanders in the primary.

I guess she could but maybe she feels awkward essentially shoving her detailed explanation in our faces. She only brings up her political opinions when an interviewer asks her about it and an interview meant for promotion of her album isn't really a great time to go into detail about her preference of Hilary.
