I'm fond of the album, but it is not of my personal taste.

Obviously I prefer her EDM/Pop sound over her new sound, but that doesn't mean I hate the album. I liked it on first listen (DH, DIC, A-YO and JW are bops), but ever since it was released I have gradually been listening to it less and less, and I have actually been going back to her old albums.

It all comes down to personal taste.

In my messy era.

I always wanted more emotional and raw songs from her. She delivered with Joanne. Couldn't be more happy. I need a ****ing vinyl right now.

Can't wait for you to crawl back when it snatches AOTY in 2018. :reductive:

This album seems to have cleaved off even more of her fan base than anything else she's done to date. :awkney:

As an artist who changes things up quite often, Gaga is going to churn her fanbase more than other artists perhaps.  This is not unexpected.

For me it's an "in the moment" thing. Like I'll overplay "Angel Down" because it's stuck in my head then I'll go back to my face "Hey Girl" then if I feel like getting lit I'll listen to "AYO". But idk I'm still not bored of the album? It's honestly just taste

She predicted back in 2011 she would eventually leave all the perceptions people had about her and also her fans going crazy because of it.

Hopefully some of the fans' reaction to Joanne doesn't change her mindset and she keeps evolving, I don't want another The Fame Monster or Born This Way, and I'm pretty sure neither she.

I like the way you wrote this. Very honest and not over the top.

I'm listening to half of Joanne fairly regularly. But i get what you mean.

I was listening to Glory WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY more when it came out.

I do like this era though, its different and exciting. She's handling herself much better. I'm excited about the sales of Joanne. Without a doubt will be one of the 5 best selling female albums released in 2016. And I'm also excited to see how Million Reasons performs and to see the next single choices and videos.

so to sum it up. I'm really happy with the era, but not as thrilled with the music.

If the3 only song you still listen to is Perfect Illusion you need to get your music taste in check. 😉

I like PI but its easily the weakest song on the album.

You've probably overplayed the album, chill out, give it a break and come back to it in a weeks time or so. :sis:

I have not overplayed the album

I don't know about everyone else, but having a job and not having an iPod anymore (and purposely not using my phone for music) has made it much more difficult for me to listen to music like I used to. If I had one, I would be listening to Joanne all the time. I love it and consider it my second favorite after BTW.

I'm the opposite I listen to this album a lot more than I did her others, ARTPOP got old very very quick for me, think it was the dated production and vapid lyrics. This I can listen to forever though its so easy listening and melodic :music:

This album misses Gaga's touch. Let's all be honest : we wouldn't even try to listen to such an album if it was released by another artist. I get that she wanted something plain and simple but this may be a little bit too much for it to be considered as something special. It's a regular pop album (that I love)

Is not really a regular pop album. I mean when was the last time that you listened to a pop album that sounds like Joanne? That has pop, country, soul, alternative, Bollywood, folk, and electronic influences?
