This probably will turn out a spam thread with tons of gif, but today I re-listened to Born This Way (album) after a looooong time and...

Gosh, I'm speechless. I forgot how awesome&different it was. Dark dance bops mixed with rock influences.

She is indeed ahead of her time.

I know DJWS did that the visuals the way she fused rock and pop so nicely it's really amazing :whitney:

Me and @SilkSpectre0 were just talking about how we want to be stuck in the BTW era forever

I guess it's that time of the era again, when we all start to appreciate her previous eras even more :cryga:

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the new direction she took, the evolution with Joanne and her new sound. But Jesus this is a pop album on steroids.

In 20 years, I can't wait to pull it out of a box when I have a condo/house of my own and pop it in the nearest CD player. I'll dance around with it playing full blast :toofunny: it defined my high school years and it truly is an exceptional album.

I always go to it when I'm not feeling great about life.

The instrumentals are better than the album itself tbh.

Born This Way, Hair, Bad Kidz, Americano, and Black Jesus are some of the worst Gaga songs, but the instrumentals, on their own - amazing.

Government Hooker, Schiesse, Heavy Metal Lover, and Electric Chapel are the best songs on the album, but even they sound better without her voice on the track.

Also, the instrumentals during the verses on Bloody Mary - best. instrumental. ever.

I usually think of the album as being overproduced, and it is, as a whole, but the instrumentals by themselves are pretty great.

Will always be remembered as the album of my late adolescene!

"I don't know what I would do without all of you," Gaga said, as her back-up dancers picked up the array of flowers and gifts that had been thrown on stage. "I just promise that I'll never let you down."

Yeah but just appreciate the era for what it was.

I honestly feel like she's living my life. BTW was there when I needed a boost of confidence, ARTPOP was there when I was in my party/rebel stage, and Joanne is here when I'm maturing.

Like I was 19 when I went to the BTWBall and she said "I wrote this album about myself as a 19 year old". And now I'm 23 and Grigio Girls has the "I was 23" lyric.

She has to be stalking me

It's acctually my least favorite album from her :toofunny:

I mostly only listen to half of the songs... not saying there aren't some gems, but overall it's just desperately trying to be something authentic, but some of the productions are really messy...

I feel like Joanne is what BTW wanted to be :whitney: but failed to be :toofunny:
