Why does everyone come for Gaga? I'm a latino from Miami, FL. I like country music. What does this article have to do with anything? People aren't allowed to record music because they weren't born in TX and have a Louisiana mom? And why add Justin Timberlake's name to people who shouldn't record country. He is from Memphis, Tennessee and started out singing Country Music on Star Search as a kid. One of the biggest country selling artists if all time Shania Twain is from Canada. What about Keith Urban who is from Australia. What a stupid article. And why does Lady Gaga's name even have to come up. The stupidity is contagious people. What a ridiculous article written by an uneducated journalist. How does an article like this get written and appoved. Who the f*ck is the editor?

Edit: I am not writing this because I don't like Beyoncé. I love Bey. I think she is talented and can sing and record what ever she wants. I would buy an album of her singing the names in the yellow pages. But I think the same of Gaga. She can sing and wear what ever the hell she wants too.

I know right. It's a concept album that uses the metaphor of the countryside as our spiritual home, but it's pretty much genre-less. Disco-pop, dance-rock, indie country, soul and folk music are all in it.

I think she visualised herself if she did not have The Fame (woman in a field with her aunt with a baby and a glass of wine) which is why she said she wrote it exactly like she wrote The Fame and why Bobby says Joanne is an "indie debut release". 

But "Lady Gaga" still has to work within the world of popular music which is why this era has been the most strange by far.

"But Beyonce has better claim than many"?!! They just listed Justin Timberlake who is from fricking Mephis Tennessee and they still give more credit to Beyonce? 

 

They act as if Beyoncé came up with the sound for her song and as if it is in her blood that she knows the arrangements for authentic country music just because she is from Houston Texas. I could be 1000% wrong but I doubt Beyoncé is a big fan of the genre. 

 

Yeah its cool we all know she is talented, but it's kind of like critics are afraid to mention an ounce of criticism or else backlash will ensue. Everything she does has to be praised. I like Beyoncé but you don't have to put down other artists
