babs 5,093 Posted November 2, 2016 Share Posted November 2, 2016 Sadly ARTPOP was ruined by the promo mess that surrounded the whole era, I think otherwise the album would have definitely had so much success and I am in absolute love with the album and love it since the first time I heard it. It really makes you feel energetic and confident about yourself. **** I even love J&D, specially the Twista part. I will forever be sad that this era could not be promoted as good ad btw, but it has a very special place in my musical heart. My fave moment was SXSW, hands down. A few great pop songs surrounded by awkward attempts at crossing genres and songs that sound like a fan would have wrote for Gaga because they vaguely sound "gagaish." ARTPOP is literally the sonic embodiment of dipping your toes in the pool but not going for a swim. I can't wait until this album is forgotten, sorry. But I think ARTPOP is so underrated and it has such a special place in my heart for so so so many reasons beyond this anecdote ive shared, and I love that this is what Gaga made in a period of hopelessness and addiction, I love that she was unhappy and channeling her music. I love that she is an artist that creates music based in her emotional evolutions. I love ARTOPOP and (obviously) I love Gaga. UGH THISSSS!!!!!
