[Theory] Lana Winters' role in Roanoke

So, I have just finished rewatching Asylum and I now have a theory how Ryan could tie Lana into Roanoke. Also, I am gonna explain why every season of AHS is connected, but that's in the spoiler since it's not really the point of this thread.

Television. With the narrating style of Roanoke, I think that this is the most reasonable explanation on why every season is connected.

Murder House: It was Constance Langdon's dream to become a movie star. Also, Billie Dean Howard is in talks of getting a TV series.
Asylum: Lana Winters is a TV reporter. Asylum ends with Lana giving a TV interview.
Coven: Cordelia Foxx also gives a TV interview in the last episode.
Freak Show: It was Elsa Mars' dream to become a movie star, which she eventually achieved.
Hotel: The return of Billie Dean Howard from Murder House. She now hosts a TV show and films in the hotel Cortez.
Roanoke: It's a TV show inside of a TV show.

If I am correct, Ryan Murphy stated somewhere that the next season will show how each of the 6 seasons are connected (correct me if I'm wrong).
I think this theory might be accurate because it would make sense on why Ryan brought Billie Dean Howard back to Hotel, when they could've easily skipped that part.

 

Now, what's Lana's role in Roanoke, respectively, what is the reason for her comeback?
Let's have a look at all of the teasers that were released prior the airing of the first episode of season 6. A manager from FX said that there's only one realnteaser and any other one is fake - at least for the first episode. However, now nearly all of the teasers seem to be real. For every teaser, something similar happened in the show - except for the alien ones. There is this one teaser where a woman gets abducted by an UFO, and another one with corn circles.

Those are the only ones that have not had a similar event happening in the show.
Now let's go back to Asylum: Kit Walker, Evan Peter's character, was diagnosed with cancer and suddenly vanished. We see that the aliens took him with. He was never seen again.
Now, we have two clues: There should be Aliens appearing in the next 3 episodes. And it is confirmed for Lana Winters to return, so I can totally see Kit Walker coming back as well.
Another hint to a possible Evan Peters return is on his Instagram; he once posted a pic of himself with a beard, which he apparently grew for AHS. Now, Rory died and was only in two episodes, so why would he need to grow a beard for this character?

TL;DR: Kit Walker's abduction will get resolved. Aliens appear, and Lana Winters somehow gets to know of Kit's return and that's how it all ties in.

Really interesting theory about how all the seasons are connected through television, I hadn't considered that at all. It's so obvious in the Roanoke season but clearly has been present all along in more subtle ways, some of which I had even forgotten about. Thanks for sharing!

I thought it was just for her to cover the story. I didnt think about Kit at all. And I would love the throwback because Asylum is one of the best seasons for me. Good job!

I love your theory, but i was thinking she will return in episode/chapter 10, once the 3 days in hell has ended, to interview the survivor of Roanoke. Considering Lana was basically the only survivor of the Asylum, I thought she may interview the only survivor of Roanoke (since we now know only one person survives). This could be a televised interview and would be in the last episode of the season, following the pattern of a TV show/special of some sort in the finale for the last 4 seasons

I thought about that too, but I just hope we see the aliens again

She'd be in her 80s I think. Do we know what year it was when she was interviewed as an old lady? They already had smartphones and whatever, so she'd be 8 years older by maximum.

As gruesome as this season has been, I don't understand how some here are comparing it to Asylum. They're on two completely different levels, in my opinion.

So excited to see Lana again, but so help me if Ryan Murphy kills her off

I yhink that Lana will make an interview with the one who'll survive roanoke. The Interview will be the part of her TV show or something like that.
