Bella Goth 1,149
gaga is spontaneous artist in my opinion, remember she announce ARTPOP by sharing photo of ARTPOP tattoos in the middle her btw, even btw tour not even finished and followed by the meaning behind ARTPOP after btw era then thing got personal when she got her hip injured and she has more song material to write that's why ARTPOP has more meaning (behind she got betrayed ,dwuw, her personal life, ect) after its origin meaning should be (a classic art in today pop culture) thats why ARTPOP could mean anything. and because ARTPOP have so much meaning and it became not manage well enough, like they dont match, gaga behind camera she introduce classic art in pop culture then all of sudden all single is about her personal life, thats why it kinda messy. then she do jazz with tony,u cant just put aside c2c in her carreer. it really mean alot to her, without tony gaga can posibly quit music (listen her interview) but tony give her grandpa advice and got her spirit back and reevaluate what she want in her career. (she do jazz, oscar, even acting) then about LG5, i believe gaga didn't know what to tittle would be for her album 1st. she keep doing #LG5 in the middle she write her music. not like ARTPOP that she announce even in btw era. the joanne poped out i guess (by her interview she said joanne popped in her mind) thats why in this era she mentioned over and over again, joanne is about her as family member. to her family, close friends and lil monster. and for joanne before ARTPOP. nahh, i like her this way, you can feel and join her journey in this industry. thats why i dont like to mention her as goddess/queen of pop/whatsoever. she's human. a mother monster. shes lady fvcking gaga. Married the Night 3,955
Yes. 100%. And remember, the ARTPOP we got was not what Gaga wanted. She wanted to experiment with different styles. I feel like the vibe for Joanne was what she wanted for ARTPOP. And I think it would have done well for her.
hausoffame 388
Maybe I live in a bubble, but I don't remember there being so much negativity surrounding ARTPOP. I thought it was well received at the time. I mean we had the iTunes festival, Artrave promo show, GMA promo for Applause, etc. I think people were more turned off by C2C. GagaTheExplorer 3,053
I would be still saying: Release Gypsy as a single, bitch
Bette Davis 12,742
No, probably worse. It would have been received better if a bunch of the filler songs were cut out and the songs were all produced by a strong, experienced executive producer to give it a cohesive sound. Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

RAMROD 109,031
No, I don't think it will. IMHO the problems doesn't laid on the timing, but EDM were so everywhere and it was so boring at that point, people want something new. Plus, after parted ways with Troy, Gaga losing direction on how to promote, she was used to with things booked for her, or get media on her side, it took some time before she can get replacement for Troy but it had been too late by the time that happened. Media had been turning against her, and there was mysterious anonymous too spewing hate, slander and lies about her on interwebs, which were picked up by lots of major media without double check of its relevance. Combined with her mental condition which was at her worst, things just don't work, it wasn't the best time for her. Also, people been calling her a snob too because of the album title choice, ARTPOP and the people she chose to hang around with at the time (Marina, Koons, Wilson, Donatella, etc) and some fans were irritated too by how she was more and more getting too preachy for their likings. Even if ARTPOP released later in her career, it wouldn't do much, and I believe she realize that, hence she minimize her collab with RedOne, did a Jazz collab, and get into a new sounds for Joanne. Those are very smart move on her part tbh, as she cannot keep doing the same shxt if she wanted to stay relevant, instead she must stay as a pioneer, like when she was first come into the business. But anyway, I do agree with those who say we should let good sis ARTPOP go, and move on I always think about how much she would have slayed if DWUW was the lead live and let live

Gaga's original ARTPOP was scrapped for a more commercial sound. That is why she wanted an act two so she could showcase the more experimental sound. ARTPOP is amaizing in my opinion, but she and her team not manage so well and to quickly. i mean ARTPOP need moreeee time, because as i see ARTPOP is not only an album but she want to make an art movement (even gwen stefani mention ARTPOP as her inspiration when she lauch something i forgot) she wanna married technology with classic art and pop culture, she did so many thing off screen, and why people consider its bad because people dont know whats going on and what ARTPOP is. in my opinion ARTPOP need more time. by you say c2c got people turn off but it's good for her, im a jazz fan in the begining than i love today music, and gaga collaborate with tony is a gift for me. as i listen on her interview she said why collaborate with tony because one of the reason is she want to introduce jazz people to young generation (she called her monsters, jazz baby if im not wrong) and it not work for some people but some people and old generation appreciate her, it turn her career down? but she got grammy for this album. as i see she tend to please her close member as she get older (her roots, family, close friends and true fans)
