Diamond Heart:

Spoiler

Young, wild, American
Lookin' to be somethin'
Out of school go-go'n
For a hundred or two
Some asshole broke me in
Wrecked all my innocence
I'll just keep go-go'n
And this dance is on you

She is talking about herself - go-go dancing, her rape.

Spoiler

One, five, ten, lay a million on me
Before the end of this song

?

Spoiler

Ā

Young, wild, American
C'mon baby, do you have a girlfriend?
Rain on me a million
I'm not flawless, but I gotta diamond heart

Ā

Does Taylor have a girlfriend? Diamond Heart - her engagement ring? She is not flawless, but she got his engagement ring?

Spoiler

Head full of Jameson
Girl's playin' bad 'cause it doesn't pay to be good
A cruel king made me tough
Daddy's girl's never good enough

She is talking about her Christian upbringing. It doesn't pay off to be good, so she is being bad instead. Also, daddy issues.

Spoiler

Good thing I know what I'm worth
Want a good thing, put the money down first
Better get a good look baby
'Cause soon I'm breaking out of here

She is going to disappear from his life soon, because she has respect for herself.

A-Yo:

It's about her haters. It's the equivalent of "Shake it Off".

Joanne:

It's about her late aunt Joanne (from her father's perspective?)

John Wayne:

Spoiler

3 am, mustang speedin'
Two lovers, headed for a dead end
Too fast, hold tight, he laughs
Runnin' through the red lights
Hollerin' over, rubber spinnin'
Big swig, toss another beer can
Too lit, tonight, prayin'
On the moonlight

Her relationship with Taylor is heading for a dead end. Everything happens too fast.

Spoiler

Every John is just the same
I'm sick of their city games
I crave a real wild man
I'm strung out onĀ John Wayne

Every man is the same, she needs a wild man.

Spoiler

Blue collar and a red-state treasure
Love junkie on a three-day bender
His grip, so hard, eyes glare
Trouble like a mug shot
Charged up, 'cause the man's on a mission
1-2 ya, the gears are shiftin'
He called, I cried, we broke
Racin' through the moonlight

They broke up over the phone?

Dancin In Circles:

It's about her being heartbroken and masturbating (to "rub the pain out")

Perfect Illusion:

Her love was a perfect illusion.

Million Reasons:

"Every heartbreak makes it hard to keep the faith
But baby, I just need one good (reason) to stay"

Sinner's Prayer:

I've got no idea actually.

Come To Mama:

It's about people getting along with each other and not putting each other down.

Hey Girl:

Girl power.

Angel Down:

Political message. People just watch the world suffer instead of taking actions.

Just Another Day:

A song about relaxing and not taking life too seriously.

the diamond heart chorus analysis annoys me. I think you took the interpretation too literally. I interpret it asĀ meaning she has a solid/indestructible heart, as in, she knows she's a good person with good intentions, but she's had to do some wild/questionable things to "survive" (Go-go dance for money, drink, party, flirt with the men she dances for to make that $), which is what the bridge of the song is about: "better get a good look, cuz soon i'm breaking out of here." I'm not doing this forever, just for now to make ends meet.

One thing that seems up for interpretation is "c'mon baby do you have a girlfriend."Ā

To me, it's what gaga would say to the men in the bar, as a means of flirting.

IMO, this song has literally nothing to do with Taylor.

In Sinner's Prayer she's telling the person she loves that she makes some mistakes and has flaws but she's willĀ be faithfulĀ to them. That's the meaning of the song, I don't know what she means by the specifics like "I came down the mountain dragging our love affair" :madge:Ā

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I thought about this too, but she said that her album is directly connected to her life, so.:classy:

True, but I mean, her "life" is a lot more than who she dates
