she writes every song and up until Joanne she has always been the main writer and credited SUGGESTIONS ( Nadir, Fernando and Paul have confirmed this) that she ends up using hence why BTW the song has about 7 credited writers because the original demo only has one line of difference to the album version and that's the bridge. It's not a bad thing since lyrically Joanne is her most competent album.  

But if you're asking why she must write her songs at all then have you not paid attention to what makes songs repetitive and boring in Pop from main popstars in the last 8 years?

what's even better was it wasn't the lyric it was his suggestion to start the song with the "Oooh ohhh" part instead of going straight into the Rah-Rah bit like the original demo did.
