How in the world does her theatrical "brand" (for like of better word) dilute her vocals? or shield the public from noticing? her theatrical performance and her outfits are nothing without the voice to help it stay afloat. am i wrong? you cant pull this off at the grammys dinner ball if your vocals arent top notch... i mean it would kill the feel Edit: you can hear the crowd cheering really high at some great moments. I don't know anyone IRL who would have seen this performance. She came out with hits like: That are hardly vocally challenging, Born This Way was her first song in major key. There are artists like Katy too (this isn't shade, but she isn't really a renowned vocalist) who have songs like Firework that sound alright in studio, but she struggles live. Same with artists like Rihanna. It's easy to dismiss songs like Born This Way in a similar way. Gaga didn't really showcase her voice early on. Her fans knew she could sing, but I mean even some C2C era stuff was surprising to us. It's understandable that casual fans or the GP wouldn't know Gaga can sing in a remarkable fashion, they don't pay close attention. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

littlepotter 75,153 Posted October 31, 2016 Share Posted October 31, 2016 All of her performances back then (Bad Romance on Ellen, You and I, Edge of Glory) really showcased her vocals, and then she proved them again with C2C, then again with the Sound of Music tribute, then AGAIN with the National Anthem, and now with Carpool Karaoke...
