My bff Mandy and I are so totally getting matching "sisters never pack up" tattoos once she gets better. Sometimes the hardest thing is watching someone you care about slowly slip away and not being able to do anything about it. You can't "fix" it as its not a matter of "here take this pill and you'll be cured". When my bff Mandy got super sick, I took time off of work to fly home and I spent day and night in that cold depressing hospital sleeping on that horribly uncomfortable sofa in her room. People said I was crazy as she wasn't family so why invest that much effort? The thing is, she is family to me. She's been there when nobody else was. We met at the Monsterball and have been besties ever since. Lol she and I have a running joke between us that if she isn't 100% weaned off of her walker by the time the Joanne tour comes, I'm just gonna have to strap her to me back lol #sistersneverpackup I love you monsters. That's so cool that you met at the monster ball! She was born with epilepsy and had a grand mal seisure, fell, and whacked her head against the staircase in her apartment. Luckily, her boyfriend happened to come home and took her to the emergency room. Her speech and memory were intact but her motor control was non existent. She had to relearn to walk, feed herself, brush her teeth, etc all over again. There's still days where she gets more food on her than in her but overall she's getting better everyday. She can walk up and down the hallways independently but she still needs her walker for long distances. Lol I went to visit her last weekend and I brought her some plain pancakes I had made and she looks at me and says "I said eggs god damn it!!!!"
