I made her listen to TIHTY, but she was unconvinced of her talent. She also didn't like her National Anthem because "she looked weird." Like, wtf, that's the time she looks weird?! Dad: Loves her music, personality, talent, all of it. Aside from actually buying and listening to her full albums , he is a fan. I'm kinda worried what he'll think if she goes full on BLM with Angel Down at the SB, though... Older Sister: Likes Gaga pretty well. She has downloaded her albums through my iTunes account, but she hardly listens to them (ARTPOP only once or twice in its entirety). She took me to artRave when I was 16 and really complimented the performance. She recognizes her singing abilities a bit, but she's pretty unwilling to be stan anyone but Christina. Little Sister (This one is very long. Only read if you have no life): Spoiler Where to begin? She tells me she completely despises her music, but I don't buy it. It started when we were in elementary school, and she hated Gaga because she was "dirty" at the time of the iconic Disco Stick. She grew to hate every aspect of her (personality, fashion, weirdness) for no reason other than my obsession with her. She kept this prejudice with her for many years, so any new song would enrage her when it played. She is almost 17, but she's still the biggest brat in the world and goes into a screaming fit EVERY time she hears even a snippet. She is generally open minded, but the fact that she hates her more than diehard Madonsters (fan name?) infuriates me each time we talk about her. I have since convinced her that her personality is at least fine and that her sexual imagery and music are nothing new, and it's sexist to hold her to a different standard than a bunch of songs she likes by men that are about sex. I tell her how she helped me understand my sexuality (that one shuts her right up ), and she can kinda respect her originality and songwriting. The only things she doesn't like about her are her voice (she understands that she has actual technical abilities, but she still "just finds it annoying" and calls her a bad singer ) and the general sound of every one of her songs . She has no words to describe this pointless hatred other than "horrible" and a series of fake gagging. She did this for the intro to John Wayne, so you know it's all an act She has this stupid thing against her just because of LoveGame in the third grade and my lifetime devotion. I'm just venting at this point. Nobody can begin to understand my frustration 1 So, what do your family members think about Gaga and her music? She's so brilliant , she can sing and act (we're impressed by her acting on AHS last season), wow! 3. She's soo good and dare to be different. Something that is lacking nowadays.
