I love M.I.A and yeah there's similarity between the two but come on.....don't bring down the progress JOANNE is making or discredit the obvious hard work that was made to create the album. Just from the two and a half minute episode fromthe JOANNE documentary clearly shows how much she's involved in the process. this probably wouldn't have even surfaced had marks news not come out about his situation. Stop reaching and enjoy the album. To whom ever posted the thread there's no hate towards u, but to the person or persons that are trying to bring forth accusations of plagerism and other nonsense, would u mind exploring a different way to use your spare time and let Gaga do her thing. JOANNE has gained massive recognition and great reviews. Focus and embrace the positives (in any situation in life not just this) and leave out the negativity. It's batsh*t crazy with bird noises but some creativity lies underneath. What really got me was the guitar melody that plays throughout, it sounded SO familiar then I realized.. ITS SWAN LAKE. But literally everything sounds the same at the moment and Diplo is one of the djs who create the new production trends. The ''tropical beat'' (ugh I hate that word) can be found in many mainstream pop songs at the moment. It's not a coincidence that the beat is similar, but it's a coincidence that Gaga's and M.I.A.s vocals sound alike too, at least I think so. As someone who listens to both of them, I can say that this vocal style isn't usual in Gaga's songs, but the M.I.A. track sounds much like her other songs. It's unrealistic to say that DIC is a copy of this remix, because it was uploaded on Youtube only 2 months ago. Joanne was probably finished at that point. For one, the rhythm used on DIC's beat is very generic (not saying it's a bad thing), I don't hear a similarity there. I'm sure you could also find many examples of spoken word in songs that sounds like this. Also MIA's album came out pretty recently at which point I'm sure DIC had already been conceived.
