Of course, you know is a bit tacky, but the thing that make Gaga very special is that she's like one of us, she's the crazy nerd, the clever girl of the class. Maybe she's not the flawless diva a la Beyoncé, maybe she's not that ambitious like Madonna, but she's one of US. Gaga is like if one of us were a Popstar, she's crazy, she's campy, and tacky, she lives her fame and stardom like it was always the first day. She tries to do crowsurfing and fall down, and is always on the edge between amazingness and ridiculousness. Then if she's one of us, why not to be us a bit like her, i'm not afraid to sound cheesy calling myself a little monster. I'm a nerd, I'm funny, I'm duckling and I'm a little monster 4evah. I agree with EVERYTHING! Not to put down those other artists, but I've never connected with an artist in the way that I've felt connected to Gaga. She's crazy and eccentric in her ideas but so down-to-earth at the same time. She can go from being a girl in the audience to being the girl on stage without losing herself. She's not perfect, she's not trying to constantly be number one by other people's standards. She does her own thing to stay true to herself as an artist and as a human being. It's always inspired me to not hold myself back. Just be yourself, and do what feels right. That's what being a monster is all about to me.

Letmelivemylife 8,715
Monster until the day I die. The truth is we'll ALWAYS be "little monsters" to Gaga no matter how old we get. To the critics, we just look like crazy obsessed fans but the truth is, they just don't understand. The bond monsters have with gaga is not something that can be explained. It's something you have to be a part of to understand. To quote her for a second "I'll tell you one thing. There will never be another pop singer that loves you more than I do". The world can't even begin to grasp how much she loves us. It's a love so strong and fierce that it defies all logic and crushes any negativity in its path. A love so strong and fierce that it'll last until she takes her last breath. So to the people who say my monster/gaga tattoos are "creepy", you just don't understand. She was there when nobody else was and she said "I love you" when I felt unworthy of love. I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

That's what being a monster is all about to me. Exactly. "Monster" means a lot to me. It means road trips to concerts. It means connecting with old friends and making new ones. It means having friends who loves you for you. It means having somebody who will always be there even at 2am in the pouring rain when you need a ride home because your other ride bailed. Monsters have taught me that DNA doesn't make you family. Being called family is a privilege that's earned by always being there when somebody needs you the most. Monsters are definitely my "family". You/gaga gave me a 100 million reasons to stay when I had 100 million reasons to let go I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Several artists openly express their gratitude to their fans, but with Gaga, it's more than gratitude. She actually cares. Born This Way, in particular, has always been proof of that. She listened to us all and told the life stories of many of us through the music, connecting it with her own experiences. To me, there's never been the feeling of a superstar and her fans/followers. It's always been all of us, together. "[T]he best thing about the Monster Ball is that I created it so my fans have a place to go, a place where all the freaks are outside, and I locked the ****ing doors." "[T]he best thing about the Monster Ball is that I created it so my fans have a place to go, a place where all the freaks are outside, and I locked the ****ing doors." Exactly. So many have said that the whole "mother monster" thing was a gimmick to sell more records but I disagree with that. In a way it's like she gave "birth" to us because we were created in her image to spread her message of love and acceptance. My bio mom wasn't there so Gaga became a surrogate "mom" to me. You can see the maternal type of love she has for us when she interacts with us. It's that maternal instinct that drives her to want to be near us. She'll always be here to love and protect us. The maternal instinct to protect us is quite strong. I mean look at the video of her ripping into that guy and forcing him to delete the conversation he was trying to record. She was having a private moment with us. Yeah she's sweet and funny but she'll go from 0-100 in the blink of an eye if she feels that her monsters being threatened in some way. Nothing scarier than a "mama" protecting her babies or in this case Monsters I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
