SamJ 8,008
As soon as I heard Joanne, even after hearing a few seconds of the first song Diamond Heart I knew that this album is going to be timeless and won't have a year associated with it. The Fame was the sound of its time, The Fame Monster was the sound of its time (no disrespect because I think its her best album), Born This Way like Joanne is timeless also, when you listen to it its difficult to pin point a certain year in time in which it sounds like, its so good and different to the pop scene that it will sound good forever, however apart from the title track born this way which was a pounding 2011 esque pop hit the rest of the album sounds quite fresh and diverse and wont age. For ARTPOP it was the sound of its time and the years previous maybe almost slightly out of date instrumental wise, don't get me wrong I adore ARTPOP its so fun and cool but its ageing now because its early 10's sounding. Cheek To Cheek was Gaga bringing back music so out of date back into fashion and I think she did that fantastically well. I loved Cheek To Cheek, its a great album to sing along to with friends and family. But the only thing stopping me from loving it as much as her other eras was that she or he had not written the music. There is just something so important about Gaga's writing skills to me. I love having Gaga lyrics in my life they are so dramatic/funny and are always a breath of fresh air to hear new gaga lyrics on the radio. Joanne contains some of the best written pop songs ever Imo, along with lots of drum and bass filled instrumentals that will never age. It all just feels so real this time around, the theme, the love for Joanne, the instruments played live in the studio, the unedited voice, the look. It all just feels right and I think she is in her prime!
Rockets 1,807
Joanne and BTW are both like a big Middle Finger to people who would expect a popstar to do whatever's in trend at the moment and try to please the GP rather than doing what they really love. The only girl I've ever loved was born with roses in her eyes
therian 254
I also love how that this album can resignate with people of all ages... seriously nearly all the comments on her capool karoke video on fb are made by middle-aged married gp women bitch my wig
kvnrp 48,353
Joanne is the perfect record after ARTPOP, C2C and the WeLoveHerAgain-Era (Sound of Music, Grammys, TIHTY, National Anthem) I am so proud of my fave

Born Brave 2,072
Joanne is an album that you can listen to with your eyes closed and not know what decade it was released in. It doesn't have any "fads" influencing it. It's a solid timeless record and those are the records that people remember

I love the fame the fame monster and ARTPOP but they are representative of the pop scene in those times. Whereas Joanne is completely different to anything in 2016. PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
I agree. It sounds timeless while still having sounds from a plethora of distinct time periods. While it's not my favorite album from her, it's absolutely one of the best she's every done
Grigio Gays 126
I agree. Joanne and BTW are the kind of albums that ignored all trends and went for LEGACY. They will be good today, 10 years ago and in 20 years ago.
