I literally spent half the day defending her haha damn.

They have great albums I meant during the Beyoncé era it seemed like she just stopped caring about pushing certain songs and just started performing whatever she wanted ha .

Finally someone else who can help me defend my queen. Gaga is my mother, but Beyoncé is my queen (both are equal in my mind), and I may or may not make **** tons of threads about Bey, and they always receive so much hate. It's tiring.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Nope. Single Ladies and Who Run he World was the last time she pushed singles in a traditional way. She has been an album artist for two albums that's it. But it works well for her and she moves singles regardless. Lemonade has like 3 singles that have sold more than 600k individually with Sorry and Formation selling more than 900k and four more that have sold over 200k. She just doesn't chart singles because she probably doesnt spend money traditionally promoting singles and on radio deals for radio airplay. She moves more singles than artists who go and perform their singles 20 times on different shows.

Gaga's never really been an albums artist either, going by what you're saying. She's always been super traditional about single releases

Yes Gaga has always been an artist that promoted her singles. Joanne might be the first album where she doesn't do that because she didn't really promo PI and an official second single will be announced soon but we'll see how it is promoted.

Just because Gaga promoted singles means she can't be an album artist? Her albums have always sold better than her singles. Her albums have always had cohesive concepts. She's always written every song, i.e no filler (even if some songs weren't good). Gaga has always written and released albums first and foremost, rather than singles. Just because she's had successful singles does not take away that they belong to cohesive conceptual albums.

The thought that promoting singles means you can't be an album artist is a joke. So she can't be one now right? I mean she's promoting AYO quite a bit...

Mess, you completely missed my point again even after I repeated it in the post you quoted me in.

By album artist, OP means an artist who *only* promotes an album. Like Beyonce with Lemonade, she didn't promote ANY single. That's what he means. Nobody said anything about Gaga's album not having good concepts or not selling in the past.

Learn to articulate better. Regardless of OP, that description doesn't and hasn't traditionally defined album artist v single artist.

No need to get nasty, if you intend to get snarky you're better off shutting the **** up and moving on.

There was nothing nasty in anything I said, at all. You're actually the only one who said I'm 'snarky, nasty and should shut the **** up', so that's kind of extremely hypocritical of you :rip:
