With the video it could have easily become one of her greatest hits Maybe if they didn't drop the video, the ARTPOP era wouldn't have "stopped" and now we would have "Venus", "Dope", "Gypsy" as singles This kills me. To me, ARTPOP had great potential to become another major hit album (DWUW, Applause, Gypsy, Fashion!, GUY etc .. those would have gotten easily to Top 10 with a different approach and single-release sequence) but the circumstances back then didn't allow the music to be heard by the GP the way we wanted it to be heard. If she hadn't been rushed by her managment and the label and let her take more time off (at least a year) she would've gotten into a much better physical and mental condition. During that break she could've fired Troye and all the other negative influences in her life and planned the era with Bobby and a new team all over again. Just imagine if her era schedule had been slightly the same as it is with Joanne now. Also the media would have lost its incentives to constantly publish **** about her with every single emerging opportunity so the GP had also time to "forget" her. Things would've turned out completely different if ARTPOP had been released in 2014 and Gaga hadn't needed to rebuild her image. But overall, I am more than proud for her that things turned out to be much more positive and I am truly happy that she is in an mostly independent place as an artist and human being.
