Radio be like:

You're giving me a million reasons to play your song x2

You're  giving me a million reasons give me a million reasons giving me a million reasons about a million reasons

If I had a payola I'll still play Closer instead

If it peaked on iTunes I'd play Adele's  new hit

Cause you're  giving me a million reasons give me a million reasons giving me a million reasons about a million reasons...

:neyde:

Cmon radio, add million reasons

Water Under the Bridge
#140 United States

Million reasons
#28 United States

They still choice to play Adele when that song already have airplay and is still doing alot worse then MR on itunes despite MR have like 0 airplay. And even before AMA's MR were doing better. I just can't with radio, i dont think they should not play adele but it's like ooh a adele song better spin it as soon as we can! Hmm a gaga song, let's wait for it to go 1 on itunes and maybe we can give it 1 spin :saladga:

Yeah, well except 9 million people own Water Under The Bridge.

And the difference in sales between #28 on iTunes and number #140 is only about 11k. MR is predicted to sell 15k by the 24th of Nov. While WUTB is predicted to sell 4k.

Does 11k in sales really mean alot?

iTunes charts really should be treated with a grain of salt unless an artist is in the top 15 or so, there really isn't much difference in sales between an artist selling in the 20's and one selling at 100.

WUTB is doing much better in streaming than MR. In Spotify alone it's doing 130,000 more streams daily.

Radio cares about popularity. While iTunes digital sales was the gold standard on how popular a song was, it isn't that way anymore. Unless it's top ten. But then ask Meghan Trainor whose last song "Me Too" was consistently top 3 to 5 on iTunes. It sold 60k - 70k a week for well over a month without having to be put on $ale and has sold over 1 million copies, yet it flopped on radio with an overall peak of #30 because it flopped on streaming.

Meanwhile Ariana Grande's "Into You" did average in sales hovering 20's and sold about 560k as of 10/27 because of longevity, yet it did very well on streaming and got a peak on Overall radio of #12. It still has an Audience of 22 million Overall because it's still has decent streaming for a song that has been out since June.

With all that said I really hope MR gets a surge of streams soon because it will lead to much bigger radio ads. MR really deserves to be a hit.

Let's be honest, everything on Joanne is not radio trendy/friendly except Dancin' In Circles. Tropical dance pop sound is the tea now. Even 'Send My Love' and 'Water Under The Bridge' have those trendy tropical pop elements.

I said tropical ELEMENTS. I didn't say it sounded tropical. Learn how to read.

Gaga gave us a heads up that no radio trends were followed on this record, which is more or less true.

I don't know why anyone would expect this song to grow quickly on radio. Not only is it not what radios are playing right now, but Gaga isn't the undisputed #1 pop star anymore either. Gaga is still very famous and popular, but not necessarily on the top of the game the way she once was.

I feel that with those two factors, the only way this song could become a hit is if it's a slow-burning hit, and possibly a moderate one at that. This could definitely still happen. Maybe, maybe not. I would actually be shocked if it gained quickly and became an instant hit though.
