A-YO is already announced for US radio, correct. I wouldn't get hung up on it though. She noted that she's not promoting singles like that anymore, so just because something is sent, I wouldn't assume she's going to do lots to "stabilize" it or sell it. She'll be performing various tracks to just push the album and eventual tour is what she seemed to imply.

She can have her potential Rolling in the Deep later, just don't sacrifice her Someone Like You

To be honest, the Carpool Karaoke effect will be gone within a week. The Apple Music commercial will be on for at least a month. With an AMA Performance and a Music Video - A-YO wins in the end

This week's AC chart. PI is on its last leg. Hopefully stations are making room for A-YO (or MR). Despite this, one station just added PI. :what:

Not Cold Water re-entering the chart at PI's peak and 24K Magic debuting higher than PI's peak. :rip:

Sending both songs to radio would be an awful idea. It only works for Rihanna because she sends two songs to different formats. Sending both songs to pop would result in both songs not reaching their full potential since radio stations would only pick one. It would result in one (or both) flopping and neither peaking high.

I agree with the sentiment that MR (now or eventually) will become the biggest single off of Joanne.

BUT I also agree that we can't compare MR's rise with A-YO's rise from last night. MR is part of a viral moment that is even helping her bomb first single-- If A-YO were part of it, I am near certain it would also already be Top 10. (It will eventually get there, but it'd be a closer race)
