I ****in' love RedOne, don't get me wrong, but his version of Paparazzi is pretty flaccid. Fusari's version has an eeriness to it and a bite that captures the sort of nefarious undertone that runs through the song.

I really like The Fame, and it's a very important pop artifact, as it really helped define the pop music zeitgeist when it came out, but I do think a lot of it sounds a bit dated now. Paparazzi doesn't, though, mostly because Fusari's production perfectly complements Gaga's melodies, and it feels like it's all working together to deliver the overall message of the song. The congruence of the song's elements keeps it feeling perfectly fresh to me. Looking back, it's THE standout track on The Fame.

:golfclap: can't give likes. Finding the right arrangement song isn't easy. This is one of the songs Gaga has given that are most imaculated and the balance was really found and it's not long enough, everything has it's purpose, because everything in the production is to achieve the message and not because it simply sounds cool. That song with that video ends carees for years to come. Simply brilliant

Rob Fusari version is better, although I chose RedOne version in the poll because Rob chose to look like this:

There is a recording which details the writing and production of this song in every detail from the Rob side. Check it out if you have time/interest. It is quite long, and all from Rob's point of view, but he does mention that after crafting most of the song, Gaga went home and then came in the next day and suddenly just had the lyrics which made the song iconic.

Only behind Erotica:usrs:

Very much this...(this is gonna make me sound my age) I remember Erotica MV being on TV, and my mom and dad are the kind of kids you see in 80's, that just do not care about anything and are in no way phased by visceral inappropriateness (they were early twenties at this time), so she sees me watching this and just is like: "Go get me a coke" and I was like: "One second mom, I want to watch this." she shrugs, I watch, and MY GOD THAT VIDJA to this day, I tell you what.

Ughhhh Im SOOOOO jealous of you. I wish I was alive at the time of this amazing phenomenon. Just to see how the world viewed all of this controversy and to see Madonna at the peak of her career. Legendary time.

Rob. No debating.

It's like someone remixed Bad Romance. It wouldn't work the original is too iconic. Same for Paparazzi.

The synth, the bass, etc. Even with the 4-note chord change - it's still iconic.

YouTriedIt.com

I'm one of the biggest RedOne + Gaga stans but THIS ain't it. Rob's version is better simply because they've, him and Gaga, worked on it together. Whereas it seems like the label asked RedOne to remix it and just sent him the acapella.

The only rework of Paparazzi I like and listen to from time to time is this one
