He really didn't like A Million Reasons. But he calmly decided it wasn't for him, let her do her thing, was very open minded about it, decided to wait to hear the whole album, and stuck around as a fan even if this album cycle wasn't for him. And because he reacted so maturely when confronted with a song from Gaga that he hated, he was able to remain clear minded and unbiased when listening to the full album, and gave it a proper listen.

I also like how he put a disclaimer at the beginning of the video (he says he needs to remind himself that this is not AP, BTW, TFM etc). That's how a critic should think to be honest. And so, in his entire reaction, he felt good about it! (even though maybe perhaps he doesn't like it in general)

I feel annoyed with 'official' critics always pointing out about how it sounds "different" that's why they end up not liking it. I mean they can point out that Gaga has improved OR has worsened her song writing skills or her style. But they shouldn't be comparing it and end up "hating it just because it's not the old Gaga."

I mean imagine when they say Joanne is not good because Gaga has become country. Cmon that should offend the ENTIRE country musicians, singers and fans. Most negative reviews I've read do that. Ugh. Again, they're putting her in a box. Well then, if it's country, then review it as a country album. Stop whining that it's not good because it's not the old Gaga anymore.

'Cause tbh, Joanne is really a great album, lyrically, artistically and stylistically. Even though I admit it won't be as HUGE as her previous album. This might even be her best album for me.

That's not true. I would just prefer him to be honest about it, no big deal. I saw that Joanne is not his cup of tea ,which is fine, so this reaction seems a bit fake to me, I like him overall.
