Because this woman put so much effort into EVERYTHING she does and while all her peers (some of them aren't investing nearly 50% of resources she is) are getting praised and she is getting backlash. The Fame/The Fame Monster/BTW Gaga would still exist and would be on top if nobody copied her. But - she changed her game and almost EVERY performer copied her image, marketing plans, etc. You get it now? Mainstream today looks this way because Gaga pushed the envelope. Nobody else did.
