She'll just do another Jazz album and covers to revive it again.

That ain't gonna work again lol, her career will most likely die here

Glory is relatively good and has a very current tropical sound (i.e. 'Better') and Britney is still flopping. There is literally no recipe for a hit album. I'm glad Gaga is releasing material that makes her happy

live each day like Gaga might drop an album

We will know in a week :stalkga:

It's not like album success matters though, unless you are Taylor Swift or Adele. Successful singles are what she needs.

What do you consider to be a dead career? Because I highly doubt Gaga will ever stop making music.

It will take more than a week to really know. First week will at least be solid due to monsters. The following weeks are the true test as far as the GP goes.

She won't be able to tour the world, perform on award shows, get media attention, etc. I guess if ur standard is making music, then it'll probably continue. But her star power is gonna be completely dead by the end of this era.

I think that it will become a big success to her legacy. It will most likely take time, but will be looked at as a great body of work from Gaga as a lasting and poignant artist. A lot of artists have this happen much later than as an album is released. A lot of some of many artists greatest work is redeemed at a much later time when the audience can fully see the change that they did not embrace nor accept when it was happening.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Its neither, and both so I don't really know

It is a victory at least in her eyes, regardless. But commercial success is always the goal even if not following the formula of what is currently successful

I feel like Dumbledore I'm not making sense but thats kinda how I feel about this situation

She still has the Superbowl coming. And she still has what appears to be a rising career in acting (A Star Is Born). Also, at this point people won't truly ever forget her. She may not be popular anymore but she will always be a famous icon.

I would love to be wrong and maybe she'll have a successful era but with the current chart performance of PI, it looks like this will be her BJ era except this is too early in her career to have one.

Joanne is the Schrödinger's cat of pop albums, both flopping and succeeding at the same time

You act like she doesn't know what she's doing with her career. Don't you think that if she wanted to be on top again, that she wouldn't be able to? And anyway, let's say that her career does go down the drain, she already placed her foot down and impacted Pop culture and LGTBQ+ rights, therefore she'll never be forgotten.

PI was just not the right lead single. But the album has a lot of promising and potential hits. Plus, the album was just released today and she has still a lot of promo to do (starts with SNL tomorrow). So is just very early to say that her career will be over/dead.

enthusiasm in Gaga in general has dropped since her music has been slowly released. There's no way it'll sell well at all. Unless I'm just totally wrong. I love what the album stands for and it is some quality music. I really like Come to Mama and Diamond Heart. It's just....not exciting music.
