It might not seem too obvious at first, but I think Come To Mama is single material. The reason I say this is because the song is very unique sounding and yet very fun. Its unique 60s soul/rock sound will definitely make it stand out in the radio. At the same time, Gaga vocals are beautiful in this song. People will definitely like Gaga voice and passion in this song. Next, the song presents a positive message of love and freedom but it does it in a non preachy way. They lyrics are cute and fun while at the same time very true to the social aspects of life. In short this song is positive, fun, unique, and I think it could do very well as a single this fall (the song also sounds perfect for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas).

I think it's certainly worth the risk. It's an earworm of a song, and it just...hits you. You don't expect it to go that direction from the very start of the intro. It's got that classical vibe, it's catchy, it worked for Meghan Trainor, and it shows an entirely different side of Gaga. If she took risks with the genre jumping of the record, why not take a risk with singles? At this rate, nothing she's put out has been wildly successful, so she might as well go for it. It's just a ****ing fantastic song too, and I'd love to see the videos and performances.

But what makes it a hit?

A hit nowadays has to have either of these:

1. Sounds like the current trend

2. Have a famous feature

3. Comes from someone with a young fanbase

4. Is a meme

Not only a single, this could be her biggest classic

It's her Rehab, Valery, you name it:giveup:

It sounds like a classic rock song while at the same time the voice and lyrics sound like classic Gaga.

The fact that is non of those things could make it a hit. Just Dance was non of what was popular at the time and became a hit.

Bette Davis

Maybe if she changes it to Come to Mama Claus and releases it in December. It sounds too much like a retro Christmas song

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

Yo GagaGaga

If this were to take a spot of Angel Down, Diamond Heart, or John Wayne as a single then no, but if she just made it like a smaller single that she sang at a Christmas Parade then yeah sure

I agree. I'm not sure how it'll do but I think it's one of if not her best song to date and that deserves the single treatment, no matter what.
