Supersonic 49,376
Okay, I'm about to drop a petty ass rant. This is a grade A first world problem, but it still grinds my gears. I pre-ordered Joanne as soon as the pre-order went up on Amazon, but I was still a little shaken because I initially wanted to buy the standard and the deluxe, but the album was rather pricy, with the deluxe costing 19,99€. Today I checked my Amazon account to see whether the album had arrived earlier, and when I clicked on Joanne, I found out they lowered the price of the deluxe to 16,99€. HOWEVER, they lowered the price on release date, which means the "pre-order guarantee of the cheapest price" had expired and I was charged the full 19,99 even though the album is now significantly cheaper. I though I could play a trick on Amazon by sending my copy back, getting a refund and buying the cheaper one, but no: They already have their asses covered. If you find the album for a cheaper prize, you're not getting a full refund (they charged 3,50€ for shipping back), so I would have to pay more if I decided to buy the cheaper copy. Imo this is a grade A scam, and I don't know how this is legal, but oh well. Lesson learned. Don't make the same mistakes as I did my children. Buy the album on the release date, instead of pre-ordering. Having the album in your hands 3 days earlier was not worth the expense. I know it's just 3€, but for some hennies it makes a difference whether they have 3€ more on their bank accounts at the end of the month.
JEWRJEWR 5,663
I think you should buy a second copy for only 3€ !!! Fear, she's the mother of violence

Sometimes the pre-order arrives but it's like 6pm, er no darlins I'm in the UK and use HMV

LetsGetHigh 52,683
One thing you need to know about Amazon is that they have A M A Z I N G customer service. If you go ask them for a refund of the price difference, they probably will give it to you if you play your cards well.

Chaymie 846
Have you tried contacting Amazon Customer Service? They usually have an amazing Customer Service. Don't email, use the chat option if you can so you get your problem solved right on the spot. Whenever my items arrives damaged, they're always more than happy to either give me a full refund and let me keep the item, or a partial refund or even send me a new one to replace. Back in 2013, my ARTPOP CDs came cracked and they sent me 2 new copies free of charge with express shipping. Chaymie
Glittertinks 12,431
Okay... actually you should get a refund. I usually preorder a lot of books and sometimes the prices change until the release - and usually I get the few € back in a few days. Maybe you should really try the Amazon Customer Service!
