She does these little things, like moving the mike stand out of the way so the audience can see the band unobstructed, that nobody else would probably think of to do. I was dancing in my lounge for Diamond Heart - always thought it would be epic live. Nearly broke a light fitting. Oops. The whole vibe was fantastic. When she sung Grigio girls though, wow. That is brilliant live and it was so haunting to get more of the history. I did the album. I have severe anxiety so I've always resonated with her music and used it to get me through stuff. This? Either she or someone else said it felt like a big hug and thats what the set felt like. The joy was infectious. I'm so genuinely excited to see the different interpretations of these songs as she performs them. With ARTPOP - and especially the first performances - I was confused. The songs had to sit with me and I had to think a lot about them, the performances and it took a while to fall in love with them. This gig... it's like an analogy to my life. I just started new antidepressants, I have so much hope and happiness. This album echoes that. Watching this... didn't need to think.
