DiscoHeaven23 35,007
I think we all just need a little reminder here that The Fame is the 12th most successful album of all time in the US (Billboard charts). While it's not the 12th top selling, it performed the 12th best on the Billboard chart based on their point system. For example: in 2000 No Strings Attached may have sold 10,000,000 copies and in 2009 the Fame sold 4,800,000. But The Fame spent more time in the upper regions of the Billboard albums chart than No String Attached, because overall albums sales were lower in 2009 than they were in 2000. Therefore, it makes it a fair way to compare album performances throughout various time periods. Our girl is HISTORY This makes her album the 6th biggest album by a female of all time. 1. 21 (Adele) 2. Fearless (Taylor Swift) 3. Jagged Little Pill (Alanis Morrisette) 4. Tapestry (Carol King) 5. Whitney Houston (Whitney Houston) 6. The Fame (Lady Gaga) Source: http://www.billboard.com/charts/greatest-billboard-200-albums *it's important to note that this list was made just before 25 came out so that may be on the list now too
Guest
I love The Fame. It's my favorite. I don't understand while some monsters think it's full of fillers. I think it's a great concept album. #Love #Art #Hairspray #Denim #Quin
