Persuasion wasn't explicitly shown it was more like she lured Kathy in but Kathy made the choice.

Yeah I agree isn't the whole point of the Supremes that they are the most powerful witch of their current period and as soon as one dies the next one is picked? Ryan is a mess.

They pushed it with Hotel, having two actors play two different characters each. This season has been fairly linear, but who knows about the future ones?

To be fair, the mythology is too large in too small a season (tbh, any season) to really ultimately confirm or deny anything. It can either be an issue of writer continuity (some ghost rules between Murder House and Coven and Hotel can be seen as inconsistent), or an issue of anthological mythology.

But yeah, it can be pretty messy. This season so far has been handling continuity really well compared to last season, but who knows about the future.

On the note of the Forest Witch being the original Supreme, I think it could possibly work. I mean, we don't know any explicit details about the origin of North American witchcraft, so she could have been the original Supreme, or even passed on/created the original Supreme.

Also, her character in the context of Roanoke is only a dramatic interpretation. If anything, Shelby and Matt could be lying. Her actual origins are still up in the air.

I love AHS but this whole thing of bringing back themes from other seasons, it could destroy the series. In Freak Show, this little reference to Asylum was nice, but it should have stopped there. There were too many things in Hotel that really broke something (seeing characters dying when you thought you would never see them again because the season they were in just had a real ending, and it should have stopped there and not come back, it wasn't cool). And it brought inconsistencies (Billie Dean Howard comes into the hotel and nobody notices she looks like Sally, seriously ?).

And now they want to come back to themes and places we saw before and don't want to go back to ? I loved Coven but I don't want to see what happened before or next, because they told everything they could about the story and it's over now, going back to it will break the magic.

I loved how they ended the season, I thought the near-ending episodes were the highlight of the show.

I got really hooked-up by mid-season and was very much intrigued and the final episodes didn't disappoint in my opinion.

I'm predicting that season 7 is going to be an amalgamation of all past seasons. I don't really mind if they go for a new premise or a combination of old ones, as long as the executory work is good.
