Although I must say from the very beggining Joanne was what she wants to do. More organic and analog. Even when she was with RedOne she was doing guitars. We waited 3 years because she obviously had other projects at that time. Cheek To Cheek, American Horror Story, both Grammy performances, etc. Gaga says she writes music every day and sometimes she needs to take a break from it. I mean, she probably had a ton of ideas for it but Mark Ronson came into the picture and they both had great chemistry so a lot of the songs we got were written and recorded in less than 6 months because that's when she realized what she wanted it to be about. It's not that she "scrapped" RedOne. She just thought that maybe those songs were not the direction she wanted to take for the album, same with Giorgio Moroder. I mean, Joanne sounds very 60's, 70's so I'd have loved to hear at least one Moroder track that'd sound like his early work, but probably didn't make the cut. I don't get why the media focuses on this so much but ignored everything Katy Perry and Kesha have released or the fact that 80% of the music that hits the radio all share the same chord progression or instrumentals.
