Lies people tell to ease their own soul Beyonce' + Destiny's child hits (yes they do count she basically song the entire tracks). Lemonade has already spawned three hits. Successfully on urban radio markets. Beyonce' has over 20 Pop hits, 20 R&B/Urban/HipHop hits, and even a Spanish hit. She's been in this business for 20 years and has yet to flop. If you're going to come for the queen do it right, see you at the grammys. Her 6th platinum solo album (by sales, not discounts, or streaming), 5 multi-platinum DC albums, sold tours, 20+ grammys, and more. She's a legend B. Angel down. What you said wouldn't even be true if you just went by what majority of pop listeners to she's more than a pop artist has been able to stick to her roots and still not flop...try again. Beyoncé had a sold out stadium tour this year and Gaga failed to sell out arenas on her last pop tour. 2. Gaga won't be able to touch the success and sales of Lemonade. Beyoncé is a much more praised, sought-after star than Gaga is. Beyonce has had a string of successful projects one after the other, while Gaga came off of controversy. Besides Beyonce's long resume, it is not fair to compare Gaga's current state to Beyonce who's currently at her peak. Make your assumptions after the release of the album and a PROPER single because PI was not it.

That was the LEAD single. If it didn't get a good treatment do you think any of the other non-radio friendly songs will?

Well if her and her team are stupid enough to release the non-radio friendly songs then that's on them, but if she's smart with her single choices and puts the effort into promoting them then she can snatch that #1. Beyonce is not God, and she isn't a superhero either. What she is, however, is smart. She also has a very strong team behind her that makes sure everything happens according to plan. Gaga is way more hands on with almost everything she does, and that is problematic to an extent. Delulu is you thinking she can't get a hit after PI with the contents of Joanne. DemeLarell 931
Considering she has many stadium anthem worthy songs old and nEw she can make it work. Let's just wait to see what she produces. This is Gaga we are talking about after all lol

I mean we can be honest Beyonce' didn't flop on her 3rd/4th album Gaga did. I think Gaga may have reached her peak at ARTPOP. I don't think this album will sell well. Hey, I'm buying it, so I can play it in the car cause I know the radio will not be playing it. Although, z100 plays the mess out of PI so I may be wrong. Let's just be honest here. Karl 3,413
Think of it as more of a Springsteen type show. I think if she stuck with the whole imperial pop superstar thing she would have burned out already, that might have worked for her early on but she's getting older and to retain her legendary status and carry on making music she has to mature musically and performance wise to appeal to not just young teens. Plus we all know at her heart she's more of a Springsteen/Elton/Bowie type of girl than a Beyoncé/Madonna girl.

What's your definition of peak? Because mine is when the artist has receives universal acclaim/praise, has #1's, and is basically at the top of the music industry. Isn't that where Beyonce is situated currently? I don't get why you're trying to uplift your queen while bringing down Gaga (mind you, on a Gaga forum unless you're confused) when I clearly gave props when they were due. Gaga was not at her peak with ARTPOP, she reached her peak with BTW if you would like to get specific, and it all went downhill from there. Joanne's success is going to show us whether or not Gaga can survive a 'flop' era but with these mixed signals no one can judge until this era is over. I guess Beyonce' has been at her peak since the beginning of Destiny's Child since that's what you consider "peaking". The rest remains to be seen.
