I still think that Beyoncé's album is superior but they'd never give a Black woman album of the year. When Self-Titled was nominated it lost to an album that scored like 15 points less on metacritic. I dunno, Natalie Cole, Lauryn Hill and Whitney all won AOTY already

Metacritic scores nor Chart success equal Grammys but sometimes it influences it. I like Beyoncé but I honestly don't think it deserves Album of The Year. I can picture Beyoncé looking for words to change so she gets writing credits. Also, both Beyoncé and Beck's albums were critically acclaimed. Edit: And as some other guys have said, black women have won Grammys in the past.

I saw a post somewhere with screenshots and links that Beck's album only got like a 71 on metacritic, thank you for setting the record straight! My bad. The suggestion that America is a more conservative as a society than we were twenty years ago is also ridiculous.

Bruno is doing the same **** as he has done before, Katy = no comments for that, Taylor, I adore Taylor, but mmm not, she can't beat Gaga this time, Joanne is excellent, and Timberlake, please, no comments again. Honestly, I don't see any of them doing a better work than Joanne. Gaga did lots of mistakes in her albums, but not this time. If there's a chance for Gaga to win AOTY it's with Joanne, and it's so surprisingly good that I don't see Bruno's, Taylor's, Beyoncé's or Justin's doing a better job.
