I hated the fact I couldn't get "da da doo doo umm" out of my head from "Just Dance". I frantically used my flip phone to ID the song. I downloaded as many songs I could find as soon as I went home. My first concert was the monster ball. But my brother got to go to the fame ball and he called me during paparazzi so I could listen. My favorite piece of merchandise is a t shirt with two disco balls and a banana Another thing I love is not merch but my friend drew a really realistic picture of Gaga and me together for my bday in case I never got to meet her. I was never really a fan of The Fame songs, so I wasn't really aware of the kind of artist she is. But when I saw her performance at the AMAs (BR/Speechless), I got obsessed, instantly. Mind you, I was about 13 at the time, and my music taste has barely developed so I was up for any music. So a few hours (or days?) later, I looked her up on YouTube. I watched Poker Face MV and loved it instantly! I was a stan before Bad Romance was released. It was a magic time when she was rising to major fame I fell down the stairs once as an actor. I remember buying the single and just dance-ing (see what I did there ) to it in my room and doing all of these avant garde moves. Then my friend bought me the Chinese version of the Fame before the US release and that was when I became a super fan. I then saw Gaga on TV months later when she performed Poker Face on American Idol. My dad eventually purchased The Fame (during 2009) and it would be played on most car rides during that time. I didn't really become a fan of her until 2011 when Born This Way (Song) came out. I remember filling up the song request sheet at a school dance (7th Grade) with Judas and when the DJ played the song he played the video instead ending it during the wave part of the video.
