Hey Girl's "Help me hold my hair back, walk me home, cause I can't find a cab and we dance"-part invented bridges in songs

The more I listen to this song, the more I like to it. It is so fun. I love that gaga was adamant that they be "talking" to each other, and not have it just be Florence doing one chorus. This is what makes the song  jive so well, and their voices match the others so well. :flutter:

One of the songs I like the less on the album. It lacks something. Maybe it's too slow. And Gaga's voice is too smooth, I have the impression she made her voice less good to give some space to Florence. The chorus is beautiful though.

Which is funny considering that How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful had many quiet Flo songs and is her most recent body of work!

I'm starting to think this is the best song on the album. It's just REALLY good and it's really one of those songs you don't know and stumble across on the radio and you're like "damn I gotta Shazam this".

I'm enjoying every second of it.

Coming from someone who thought this was actually the worst song on the album.

I love this song, it's in my Top 3 of Joanne. Gaga and Florence's voices go great and the duet style makes the song's message so genuine. The production is great too.. so smooth, the harmonies.. silky synths.

This song is so pure  It didn't stand out to me on first listen but listening to it and fully taking in the lyrics make me appreciate it on such another level!

This really needs to be a single tbh. The GP seem to love it. It would smash.

Hey Girl is the best song of Gaga's career #Justice4HeyGirl

Alright, Hey Girl needs to be a single.

I'm imagining Gaga coming out in some elegant gown with her hair all wavy like Veronica Lake. Hey Girl reminds me of some song Marie Osmond or Cher would have performed on a 70s variety show. Back in those days there wasn't much choreography, just the singer coming out in a couture gown and performing the song. Gaga could sing the first half of the song solo, then Florence could appear on stage singing "Lady is it lonely?"  Can you imagine the reaction? I could imagine similar imagery to the performance of DWUW she did with Xtina.

Just mute this video and start playing Hey Girl at 20 seconds. Thank me later.

It even syncs up perfectly when Xtina comes out on stage, where Florence would come out during Hey Girl.
