This is by far my least favorite song of Gaga's. I don't think I dislike any other song from her entire discography more than this one.

Spoiler

Even Jewels n' Drugs tops it.

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

This has to be one of my favorite songs from Gaga all-time. The 50's doo-wop lover in me has been gagging over the timeless melody, the top notch production, and Gaga's vocals, especially the Mariah-like airy harmonies towards the end of the song. I know some monsters aren't fond of it, but I think it could really work well as a single. It's instantly catchy and can appeal to a wide audience. No shade to Born This Way, but I think this does a better job of promoting the "love yourself and others" message in a less obvious, but more lyrically simple way.

Wow, just wow. Basically I'm being wow by all the tracks excepts the singles, go figure. My first thought was OMG this is her Beatles style song.
This will be a classic. Im kinda mad that all the public will hear is 2 or 3 underwhelming singles when we have SO many gems on here. I like PI and A-Yo but damn these others are far superior.

I bit and listened to this leak (I'm going to a listening party tonight so I was trying to abSTAIN) because people seemed the most divided on this one.

Was a bizarre ****ing song. I was grinning the whole way through though. It oozes charm and the production pulls from so many sides; very signature Gaga that way. Heavy 60s influence but also has some Elton-inspired ad libs that I love. I can obviously see how some people will call this cheesy, but I love what inspired it.

Funny enough, from the four Joanne songs I've listened to (PI, MR, AYO, CTM), this was the only one that exceeded my expectations on first listen. Not sure I'm ready for DH, JW and DIC now. lol

EDIT: One con is that her vocals are strained and weird here. They're totally in her range but she's frontin' with that struggle. Clean up the vocals and this would have been PERFECT.

My current fave from Joanne. Probably nobody will like this idea but I would love it to be released at Christmas, remix with sleigh bells and a cute video with her as Ms Clause :hor:

i really like the verses.. But something about the chorus just sounds off to me? the lyrics, melody and instrumental are all good but I kind of feel like something about her vox in the chorus is like off key or grating somehow? i want to love it more :(

Why is the ignore function no longer working? I really need to block certain people from this thread because of their awful taste :toofunny: If you don't like CTM, something is wrong with you.

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. CTM hatin' ass losers. I'm not gonna stand by while people drag one of the best songs of her career.

Some people aren't realizing the deeper lyrics of this song because they're so put off by the doo wop sound of it. The lyrics are so much about acceptance and putting aside differences to love others. I think these are some of the strongest lyrics of her entire career.
