The album makes me feel alive in a way I haven't in a long time

Most of us are gay, and I went through a really hard time with that a long time ago, and it never really got better until I had already felt like I had changed for the worse and my soul had practically died. I lived just going through the motions and purposefully removing my emotions from life because it got to be too much to handle. I separated myself from who I was growing up because I could no longer be that happy carefree person, because life circumstances had tossed me into the dirt.

 

My beautiful grandma died a few months ago and before she died I talked to her a lot about life and the meaning of life and she knew she was dying and we had really deep conversations. Then she died, and my emotions were kind of dulled even further, even though they were already almost non existent. I ended a relationship and had all sorts of things happen that normally would have had a profound effect on me, but I'm a completely different person. Made of steel. sometimes it's better this way.

but I'm listening to the song "joanne" and it's so sad and I've been tearing up every time the chorus hits. I feel all these beautiful emotions, like about my grandma and i feel okay with how things have gone till this point. And I'm thinking of how beautiful my grandma was and I guess it's really sinking in that I won't see her again. I'm sitting in a coffee shop and keep tearing up. I hope nobody sees me lol... I literally changed songs so I would stop tearing up.

 

so instead of looking back on difficult things I'm feeling peaceful about them and appreciating them for what they were without wishing it was different. Thanks Gaga  thanks for a beautiful album.

I think Joanne, Angel Down, Come to Mama and Grigio Girls are songs that a lot of people needed to hear and will give some people some comfort/healing. One might not love their musical styles but their message is non-negotiable.

I totally understand you, my mother died 12 days ago after fighting leukemia for 6 years, and Joanne the song really hit me hard... But i'm not at that place where you are right now, it's still little to frish for myself, but i know it will get better and this album helps a lot, i am really thankful!

It really was what I needed to hear, Gaga did it again for me. I'm so satisfied with this album that nothing else really matters. Thanks for the virtual hug  life can get really hard but there are some moments where I remember the time before I had to build up walls to protect myself, and those are really nice moments.
