This music is still the pop Gaga knows her fans want, but she has infused it with even more rock than she has in the past. This album is insane for any true music aficionado, her references are clear: The Beatles, Chic, Nancy Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Carole King, Elton John. Joanne has taken the best of the last 50 years of the rock/pop genre and put it in bed with today's pop: JOANNE is that intercourse.
