FlyingF 485 Posted October 17, 2016 Share Posted October 17, 2016 So I've listened to the album. I've been waiting for it for so long, and now for me it is kind of a mixed bag. I do LOVE it on one hand, its a fresh take on her as an artist and is different, but on the other hand I feel she could have pushed it further and it could have been better than it is. One thing that jumps out to me is quite weak lyrics- I genuinely think I have and could write better lyrics that some of what is on this album. Saying that, I think the album is strong until Sinner's Prayer, which I'm slightly disappointed in but that might just be because the live version was superior. I can't fathom Come to Mama, it's like ten times preachier than anything from Born This Way ever was and I kind of wish she had used a different song. Hey Girl is pretty boring for me, but then again I never thought I'd like it, i just had a feeling... Angel Down is good but again, could have been so much better. I think the best tracks on the album are John Wayne and Dancin' in Circles. Overall I commend the new direction she took and I will be bopping to the album, but I do think as great as it is that it could have been bigger and better. What do you guys think?
