She won't do it before the election. She can't risk looking more hypocritical than she already does to many voters. 

If she comes out against this they will just come out with her support for fracking. It makes her inconsistent.

If she comes out for this it will make her look bad with some liberals.

Well, I hope she's forced to say something. These protesters should have a few go to her next rally and force her to say something. She can't be allowed to do this, she has to have her feet held to the fire.

I mean on her website she talks about clean energy and all that good stuff  that will please the environmentalists

Guys regardless of how much u wanna protect the environment u know its not realistic to try and stop every single big project thats proposed right?

 

Yes working towards a greener future is an important goal but it doesnt happen overknight. Too much of our economy is still connected and dependant on the industry and the resource it provides

 

U cant suddenly say ur gonna block all construction of anything in the foasil fuel industry it would become caos in no time

 

Instead be selective. Some pipelines depending on their route and stuff may cause more danger than others. If one is really bad than it may not be worth it

 

But all will provide some risk to environment

but indeed we cant halt all construction of every single project and we need infrastructure

 

One thing that is happening a lot in areas where too many pipelines are backlogged is Oil companies are taking all the space in trains and trucks and regular goods have a hard time competing and their prices go up

 

Here in Canada its a big issue. We cant seem to build any pipelines anymore so our oil industry is saturating all the space in trains in some areas

Our economy is still connected to the fossil fuel industry because our politicians let it be. Why? Money. The fact that this is even still a problem in 2016 is because of flip floppers like Hillary Clinton. And you're criticizing people for getting mad over this? Cut the moderation bullshit. The environment is a huge issue that should be taken seriously. Economy follows environment, not the other way around.

Fossil fuels are our only viable option buddy

you can't power a city with wind efficiently, and I'm pretty sure people aren't gonna want to pay twice as much for their electric bill 

it's not the governments job to innovate more efficient and clean energy sources. The private sector will do it when it does it

I dont think electricity is the biggest issue. Costs have come down a lot for many alternatives and depending on the geography and climate of where u are, some green energy is almost as cheap as fossil

 

 But green electricity has virtually no connection to pipelines and oil/fracking. Coal and to some extend Natural Gas are the fossil fuels used for electricity not Oil

 

Transportation is the bigger thing for oil as well many products we use. For the moment that one is harder to replace oil with cause Electric cars are still expensive and less practicle at the moment

 

Theres also no cheap alternative to products we need oil for like Asphalt, plastics, shingles, pesticides, fertilizers etc

 

Some of these products have alternatives but they cost way more

 

People complain the middle class is dying but then they want the Government to do things that would just blow up the cost of everything and strain the hell out of the economy
