I feel like this was supposed to lead to something bigger

Like there were so many visuals and so much that they hyped I feel like it was meant for the new album? What do you guys think? People are saying that she changed the direction of the album. Do you think that she did? And how different do you think this era would be if she did her original plan?

I personally love how the abum is sounding...I think that she needs this album before she does anything else.

RedOne said she initially picked one of his song to be the lead single and then she changed her mind and scrapped most of his work. But i don't think it has anything to do with this Intel performance, she was still in the TIHTY era at the time. I don't think she was meant to premiere new material.

I'm glad she didn't pursue this direction now because I need Joanne at this point in my life. A record that won't slay but will touch my soul. I can wait for the slayage next era and by then, Intel's technology would be much much better. Just imagine

I kinda hope she does a disco-funky album next or at some point. I thought that's what she was going to do for this album but she didn't. I am loving the direction with this album though the music is so good!!

It feels like every album there's some story about Gaga scrapping concepts and starting from scratch. I believed it with ARTPOP, because the album doesn't quite seem "right" to me. Given the collaborator Gaga was working with in the early stages of Joanne, I'm inclined to believe it again, too.

Gaga makes beautiful music, but I can't help but feel like she's the kind of person who chops and changes her mind constantly and is difficult to work with because of that. 

EDIT: That's not to say that I'm not liking Joanne so far. Just that we know she worked a lot more with other producers and artists who aren't featured on the album as far as we know. It seemed for a while that it would have more of a Disco/Funk sound. And I hope she explores that in the future

I actually agree with this! I feel like a lot of us and her need an album that will heel and touch people's hearts.
