Guterres didn't abandon the ship. He had been prime minister a decade ago and working at ONU since 2005.

Eu sei muito bem qual a situação do país.

Eu apenas não compreendo o chamado "orgulho nacional". Seja um António Guterres ou Cristiano Ronaldo, esse orgulho em assistir a um compatriota chegar a altos cargos não me diz nada. Terei orgulho nacional quando Portugal for dos países da Europa com menos desigualdades no acesso à assistência médica (e atenção, há áreas na saúde nas quais Portugal é dos melhores países, e disso sim tenho orgulho), ou quando a sua taxa de desemprego for de facto motivo para celebrar. António Guterres abandonou o cenário político nacional por não ter conseguido lidar com a oposição (já lá vai uma década e tal).
