Impostor 4,114
I love you forever. You are my inspiration. You are Lady Gaga. I wonder if Gaga is just a person, or something bigger. Sometimes I forget she is a real person. I can't forget that. It is not good to be a fan of someone you don't see as human. It is actually sick. I had a perverted crush on this guy and I wanted to do things that were not normal. I fear that some fans also have some sick love for Gaga at the point of wanting things from her that she cannot give to them. Like a hit after hit. Or a Bad Romance after Bad Romance. I am disgusted by some fans and I love Gaga so much. Her new music is touching my heart. Today in the morning I was feeling really angry with college stuff and I just put Perfect Illusion to play and all that anger, all the energy in her voice made me sing and dance with her, I felt much better. While Million Reasons gives me this feeling of simplicity, I feel more down to earth everytime, maybe because the song is so honest. Gaga please stay honest and keep doing what is important. We all know your music is great. But I think references to drugs and alcohol are not very nice. You don't need to make three songs talking about that. Grigio Girls, A-yo and Perfect Illusion talking about amphetamines. Why? It's confusing.

Letmelivemylife 8,715
My nephew asked me once if I believed in superheroes. When I said I did and he asked me who it was , I replied "gaga". He wrinkled up his nose and said "aunt Sarah she can't be a superhero. She doesn't have a cape". My dear sweet Ryan. Not all superheroes wear capes. Superheroes are those very special people who touch your life in ways you never thought possible. They fill a void that hasn't been filled in years. They teach you to follow your heart no matter how many times you get told no. They teach you to get back up no matter how many times you've been kicked in the teeth. They're always on the sidelines rooting for you. If you're really lucky, they'll take you in and love you as if you were there own. Gaga did all of those things for me. For that reason, she'll always be my superhero. I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

My bio mom is starting to slowly come back into my life after 10 years. She finally decided to take my advice and seek therapy for her issues. I don't mean this in a disrespectful way but I mean yeah she gave birth to me but gaga will always be "mom" to me because she was there in ways my bio mom couldn't be. Gaga did all of the things that my bio mom was "supposed" to do. Call it creepy or whatever you want but that's what gaga represents to me I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
nativenewyorker 1,190
You applaud her for being honest on Million Reasons then shame her for referencing drugs. Drugs have been a part of her life since she was 19 years old. It'd be extremely dishonest for her not to talk about it. It's part of her life story, self-medicating to cope with anxiety and trauma. Now she's in a better place and the drugs aren't for coping, but celebration. Marijuana isn't dangerous and that's the only drug she's really talking about in a celebratory way, so that shouldn't be an issue. It'd be different if she was promoting the use of hard, damaging drugs like coke or amphetamine, which she has never done. Even in Perfect Illusion, the amphetamine reference is to show something that makes you delusional, get trapped in a void of an illusion of pleasure, only leaving you disoriented and depressed when you realize the consequences. Sorry if it sounds like I'm attacking you, I'm just tired of fans in general criticizing her for being who she is.

There's a trend in LA of kids taking massive amounts of Coke at raves because "it gives you the ability to party all night". This just scares me to death. If only they could see the dark side of Coke. The tremors, the paranoia, the nagging need to "just snort one more line". They don't call it "the white devil" for nothing. I was lucky in that my oldest sister saw how Coke addiction destroyed me and got me help before it was too late. In some sick and twisted way, I felt like it was my friend but Coke was never my friend. I love you monsters. I was lucky in that my oldest sister saw how Coke addiction destroyed me and got me help before it was too late. In some sick and twisted way, I felt like it was my friend but Coke was never my friend. I had the same issues with Coke. I would hole myself up in my room and do it for hours, thinking I was invincible and had the world figured out. In reality, I was digging a deep hole for myself, becoming anti social, neglecting family and friends.. basically becoming a self-absorbed shut in who did the bare minimum to get by. Gaga was close to this point too and realized it was either her music or her life. She's been avid about how detrimental Coke can be and only ever endorsed it in the songs Fancy Pants and Vanity, but that was when it still had a hold on her. I'm 100% supportive of her smoking weed as long as she doesn't get back to the way she was smoking during 2012, pre-ARTPOP era. She's definitely in a mature, responsible relationship with her "drug" use if you even wanna call marijuana a drug.

I get that, I'm often very impressed with everything she does, it's hard to believe she's a simple human being. Just seeing it's the same person who does all of this : the music, the outfits, the performances, the acting, the kindness and talking, it's crazy.
