Rockets 1,807 Posted October 12, 2016 Share Posted October 12, 2016 Now before you come for me, I'm not here for the charts and I'll stand by Gaga no matter what as long as the music is good (I love the snippets) BUT If Joanne turns out to be a huge, complete flop what will it do to her carreer? I mean ARTPOP wasn't really a flop, but it's kind of seen like that by many cause it didn't sell as much as her previous efforts. Will 2 unsuccessful eras in a row (I'm not counting C2C) be too much for her carreer? I'm kind of worried cause even tho I don't care too much about charts and number 1s, I still don't want her to fade away or to be considered as an "has been" I know, the album is not even out yet, the SB is coming on February and many thing could happen so this is just speculation. I mean it was obvious that it will happen, even in Born This Way era, towards it's end, she started slowly "fading" and continued like that into ARTPOP and now Joanne era. Hence, that is where the "indie queen" joke came from. If Gaga is willing to get a hit, she'll release the scrapped RedOne songs, or a new song from Joanne with proper promotion. I feel like she achieved so much in less than a decade, she doesn't care anymore about getting hits. Her main message with this album is to connect with the world on a human level. But if it flops critically, too then she's really over being relevant in any way. Only her acting career and/or the SB can probably save her. Awards, TONS of performance and promo, sold really good for a jazz album and she got praised EVERYWHERE. After ARTPOP it was like fresh water after being burned,  yet you refuse to consider it.
