I think she should save Diamond Heart for 3rd single before the Super Bowl because it is such an obvious hit that people will probably love it after hearing it. Million Reasons probably wouldn't be such a bad idea for single 2.

Million Reasons has been critically acclaimed, has been selling great as a promo single, is extremely radio friendly (without pandering to any trends I might add), is relatable, and is unexpected of Gaga. Any of you who think it isn't sing;e worthy are insane, A-Yo is more of an album track than MIllion Reasons is tbh

Agreed, except A-Yo is single worthy :nails:

Why does that matter? People aren't going to not want to hear MR because they didn't like PI.

Right.. but MR doesn't strike me as a song that will be a smash hit. Hope it proves me wrong though.

The Superbowl is obviously insane marketing for an artist. look at when Madonna did it. The much unloved "Gimme all your lovin" went str8 to no 10 and eventually went gold. Madonna's last hit in the US. That's down to her superbowl performance.

So if Gaga has a 3rd single out at that time, she would be crazy not to showcase it on the SB

MR is an obvious smash.

But Gaga isn't an obvious smash anymore for radio even if the song is good.

I think mostly her base will show interest in the album, not so much anyone else in droves, but then expect a rebound in sales as far as the general public after the Super Bowl.

That's my opinion.  I've been wrong before.

Actually this may not be so bad... even if it barely cracks the top 20 its the kind of song that earns great respect and may even help album sales

and since shes doing superbowl, its ok if 2nd single success is mediocre. She can release a more dancy song for 3rd single just in time for superbowl :firega:

Also Gaga never tried anything like that exept for you and I and her immage was awful back then at its worst point so for it to make it to #8 wasnt even bad!

Haha Yoü And I peaked at #6 and Yoü And I is way different from million reasons it's way better

I still think PI was a valid choice for lead single.  The GP has pretty crappy taste in music right now. The fact that "Into You" (bop of the year tbh) couldn't crack the Top 10 proves it.

PI was a bad choice to me. It's not catchy, people don't like the song at tge first listen! Why didn't they release DH or DIC? Even MR could have been a better lead-single... Btw MR should be the second, let's hope for that :madge:

If Million Reasons is a single, IT may not be a hit. But, it will garner her respect and probably grammy noms. This album will be about artistic respect for her. It's a very thematic album. Most heavily praised albums are very consitently themed throughout. ITs also very organic with instrumentation and vocals. I think the GP is going to love the album and give it great reviews, regardless of the sales. The only album sellers right now for Females are Adele, Taylor, and Beyonce. ITs a real struggle right now for everyone.

MR!!! They have to send this to radios, the song is literally selling on itself now and doing better than PI lol
