I am from Turkey and be sure we are not like any Arab countries

I know that because I live close to Turkey, but most people imagine tons of stuff that is not true when they hear Turkey, especially today after the terrorist attacks

I think she wore it since it's a gift, as someone else mentioned. She probably did it out of respect to the Muslim community she might have been visiting? We don't really know the context of the situation.

Also, your replies come out as a bit bitchy. Maybe tone it down a bit? I'm not trying to be mean or anything just felt the need to point it out, so apologies for my own rudeness.

Won't tone it down cause I talk how I talk and nobody can tell me how to talk but I agree it came out bitchy only because it frustrates me that most people think you're automatically muslim because you look "arab" when you're not even arab either, just something I personally deal with and it's annoying. But I agree

Just a helpful tip: Being bitchy and arrogant won't get you support/respect. Being thoughtful, understanding and articulate will.

So your reply practically completely went over my head. Because all I read was "I'm right you're wrong" even though you said you agreed with me. Your tone doesn't make me want to respect you, listen to you, or agree with you whatsoever, and if you continue to act this way you'll only give people a bad impression of arabs. It's 2016, and we most definitely don't need this type of attitude coming from arabs (or non arabs) in such troubling times. Please be respectful.

There's nothing wrong with being an Arab or looking like one, you are not better nor worse based on your nationality/ethnicity, take your prejudice somewhere else.

Also Lindsey did nothing wrong, so idk why do you say she needs to educate herself. She visited Syrian refugees in Turkey, last time I checked - they are Arabs, not that it matters, but what's with all

defensiveness...

Let's hope first of all that most people are not full of prejudice to "arabs" which is a broad word and means everything and nothing, what people consider "arab" is confused with a lot of things but I'm a person. I'm not arab, but I don't even think I should tell you who I am because it's irrelevant to how I talk or how "arab" people talk or how YOU think they talk or how YOU think the perception of arab people are. You should've just talked bout me and not bring up "arabs" cause it's kinda disrespectful in my opinion and once again I am who I am and if today I'm in the mood to be this ugly sassy "disrespectful" tone ass bitch I will be. I'm sorry I offended you with my tone though because there was nothing personal. You a good person I got nothing against you, I apologize for what came out as "disrespect" in your viewpoint.

You came to the conclusion that I think being arab is bad on your own. It's not my viewpoint and never will be.
