Lindsay Lohan visits Turkey in Hijab

She didn't really visit in hijab, she just put it on for a picture, she got it as a gift. But she is a true humanitarian with big heart.

It's so nice when you see celebrities doing this kind of stuff. I really find it inspiring that she went to Turkey, not only tweeted about it, in times when most people would find it too dangerous.

That white dress is BEAUTIFUL. The texture and the fabric :flutter:

I like the captions of these photos and that she is sharing THEIR stories. Very sweet.

I heard a girl saying at our office "so I was in this restaurant with Lindsay Lohan" and I was like "yeah, yeah right" and then I looked at Instagram. Well,

Turkey is a democracy (well with the new president not sure it'll last) and not an arab country. I have a turkish friend who's not muslim, not all turkish people are muslims and you don't have to wear the hijab because it's obligatory like countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia with the niqab etc. Nice gesture Lindsay but educate yourself

You are not from an Arab country this is why, I think people confuse that **** a little too much. Arab country = Saudi Arabia. The others = Middle East. Turkey's not in the Middle East, North Africa is not in Saudi Arabia. Cultures are different everywhere people should educate themselves. Just because people look arabic don't mean they are arabs and that they are muslims

I'm turkish and I think it was out of respect to the people, it was a gift from someone. I don't think she meant to do any harm. And while I agree that Turkey is pretty advanced, the people in the picture looks pretty conservative, so that's not uncommon.

Gaga wore hijab so that she would not be recognized while shopping on Abdi Ipekci street. Funny thing is that area Gaga went to (Nisantasi quartier of Istanbul) is a very posh place; women with hijab are really rare in that area.

For Lohan's case, I have no clue to be honest.

I think she wore it since it's a gift, as someone else mentioned. She probably did it out of respect to the Muslim community she might have been visiting? We don't really know the context of the situation.

Also, your replies come out as a bit bitchy. Maybe tone it down a bit? I'm not trying to be mean or anything just felt the need to point it out, so apologies for my own rudeness.
