Pop is a genre of music which has a wide reaching umbrella over all the forms of music that came before it. Indeed, country, folk, rock, jazz, funk, soul, these are the foundations of all modern music, and most current iterations of them fall into pop. Open your ears and minds, and learn something about music through what will surely be an amazing and varietal work like Joanne.

Diamond Heart/Dancing In Circles (BOPS, COMPLETE UTTERLY UNIQUE POP BOPS THAT ARE GP FRIENDLY) 3. Hey Girl (GORGEOUS VOCALS.) 4. John Wayne/A-Yo (BTW/TFM TEASSSSSS) 6. Joanne/Angel Down (LOVELY BALLADS YES) 8. Come To Mama (BEATLES TEAS) 9. Perfect Illusion (bit jumbled for me but I still enjoy it) 10. Sinners Prayer (others like it, for me its a bit meh.) 11. Grigio Girls (Meh.) 12. Just Another Day 13. Million Reasons Putting MR in last place invalidates your opinion, which of course is a wrong opinion. Top 5 easily are: 1. Million Reasons 2. Dancin' In Circles 3. Joanne 4. Diamond Heart 5. Sinner's Prayer

And i agree that people shouldnt dismiss entire genres just because they heard a lil bit and didnt like it, its like not knowin Pop and judging it because of Bieber's baby Just because you dont like a few songs from a genre doesnt mean theres nothing for you in there. As a mexican ive never been exposed to country, and the little i know of it im really enjoying

It totally is though, it obviously has very clear country, folk, funk, glam rock influences throughout it but it's a pop record. It's like saying "Well, we have to be honest with ourselves. TFM isn't a pure pop record, it's an electronic record" or "ARTPOP isn't a pure pop record, it's an EDM record". There are clear and obvious euro-dance, electronic, EDM influences in her past albums, but when you look at the song structures - it's pop.

RickMonster98 7,462
Why shouldn't be pop? It IS pop but with many different influnces (in particular country, rock and folk). Even ARTPOP had different sounds (techno-dance) but both albums are pop.
