after listening to the whole album snippets, it's like the whole album consists of country and slow to mid-tempo songs. Perfect illusion seems the only upbeat song and Million reasons stand out the most.

Ayo is very uptempo

Bad Monster Kid

Diamond Heart would make the perfect summer bop. Can't wait to blast this with the top down and wind in my hair. Even if it's 10 degrees outside.

"Come to Mama," "Grigio Girls," "Hey Girl," and "Just Another Day" all have melodies I've heard in hundreds of others songs. "Dancin' in Circles" gives me Rihanna/"Te Amo" vibes.

I think all the snippets show promise. There seems to be strong melodies, excellent vocals, and multi-genre instrumentation.

Then only let down I have is (from the snippet) the Sinner's Prayer studio version sounds faster and less impressive than the Tarantino/Johnny Cash vibe of the live performance. Gaga's vocals really shined in her performance and I hope this translates to the studio version.

Exactly! I just really need that first line to sound the same at least! It gave me instant full body chills, it's so haunting but beautiful. I guess if it isn't we can be hope that she will perform the slower version whenever she does it live :)

Last week I was feeling so bad about everything in this era. Now I'm just sad about the terrible promo so far and trying to accept that the girl with smash hits is gone.

By the way, I feel like I'm the only one who LOVED grigio girls

Anyone care to describe their feelings on each of the songs in one word (as that guy from the listening party did)? Just would be fun to see the difference in opinions :)

I'll do a couple words!

Diamond Heart - Sexy, summery

A-Yo - Massive

Joanne - Soft, beautiful, melodic

John Wayne - Enormous, angry, heavy

Dancin' in Circles - Bop, FIRE

Sinners Prayer - Travelling, car ride??

Come to Mama - 60's, fun, retro

Hey Girl - Bennie and the jets

Angel Down - Very, damn, sad

Grigio Girls - Boring

Just Another Day - Stefani ca 2005 at the bitter end

Bloody hooker

What's with all the hate for Grigio Girls? :wtfga:

That song is a bop :music:

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

I said that it's shaping up to be her worst but I need to hear more :toofunny: And I also said that the rating was based on my taste and the vibe I get from the snippets... I mean  why even reply like that???

There's way too much negativity in here and that's why I'm always trying to express my negative opinion in the most polite of ways :) there's no need to agrue with anyone, two people will never think the same, but the discussions here very rarely contain something like 'that's an interesting way to look at it but I see it like this'... it's ussually just 'gurl bye' :laughga:

Nevermind though, I'm not a person who ever gets mad :nick:

But what is "worst". You might not dig the style of music, but that's very different from it actually being a bad album.

Daenerys

Looks like Grigio Girls is the most disliked of the songs on the album. I really love it. Especially considering it's a song for Sonja it only makes it that much more special.

"A-Yo" and "Diamond Heart" have very peppy tempos, I think. "John Wayne" isn't a sloucher either.
