Aside from the beautiful short memorized intros she would preform back in the early days, her piano playing has always been pretty rudimentary. Or the black tears on The Fame Monster despite her actually crying clear tears? /sarcasm I think it's just part of the æsthetic. To be honest, she really only plays chords on the piano too. What also kinda proves your first point is in the intro to pokerface in the first video, she used a bit of the piano from captivated, the first song in the second video.
