Wait a minute... What if she chooses a different set of songs for each of the three cities, depending on the song's genre? :udidnt:

I was just talking to my friend about this! It makes sense though. About three songs per stop.

If we are calling it pop it's pop. There is no x or y influence.

In relation to your title... I love Joanne. We are from the western hemisphere. I am also from Western Canada. I LOVE the direction of this album. Country and cowboys are the coming trends!!! Yay for change :)

Also: when gaga broke into the scene, many people who 'hated' pop music had written her off because of the genre. Yet again she's here to make the unpopular, popular!

Let's be honest, that performance sucked. I don't want to be mean but it is what it is and no one feels more sorry than I do. Gaga is not unique anymore and her beautiful talent is dying.

I've warmed to the tracks now but I'm dying for more production on future tracks / studio versions. I didn't wait 3 years for an acoustic Dolly Parton LP

thanks guys, i dont feel alone :cryga:   @high heeled fem

There's an undeniable country influence on the songs she performed last night; it's country-pop.

It sounds unbearably country because of that ridiculous southern twang Gaga sings in and fails so spectacularly at.

that's why i ****ing hated it so much :air:  it irritates me SOOO ****ING MUCH :air:  annoying af, i just cant, i put it on repeat and i just ended hating it more :air:

Most of it honestly sounds country flavored and I don't like any of it. Perfect Illusion is the only song that I really like so far and that worries me. I like Gaga herself, so I am not going anywhere, but I feel like this album may be a complete miss for me. These songs that I have heard so far are all just lukewarm and totally forgetful for me. They could be songs by artists who I would never even bother questioning who they are or what their discography consist of. These songs sound very light rock / pop, adult station, stations that play all genres as long as it's light listening, from religious to country and one hit wonder throwaways.

Gaga Medicine

The album is pop, yeah, but it has some heavy country influences.

I can see some monsters setting themselves up for disappointment by thinking that the studio versions are going to be very different from the live versions. I wouldn't count on that.

if it looks like a duck and swims like a duck, is it not a duck? You guys can deny that the songs are country all you want. They are country songs.

This is a country song

Not any of the songs gaga sung in Nashville

I do like that Gaga has stepped out of herself and gone for something surprising and different. I like that she is showing growth, even if I am not thrilled by the album. I feel like Gaga needs to do things like this to solidify herself as a great and lasting artist, a lot of people just toe the line and remain in their safe zone and get completely stale and predictable, so Gaga has shown that she wants to explore and not be painted into a characterization of herself and all that she has done before.

Why don't you wait until the album is released? Have a full listen, decide if you like it or not. I may not even like the full album, I dont know cause I have only heard 4 songs. I like the 4 songs she has played, but I cant base a whole 14 track album off of just 4 songs. Point is, have an open mind because the album drops in 2 weeks and you never know, you may like it :)

Adele also sang with country twang in her voice for her album 25, especially on Hello. Does that make her a country singer though? Nope

I thought the songs gaga did where really beautiful, I cried when I heard million reasons. Give the music a chance
